The Ballad of Zigby Bilardo On a clear sunny day when we were in school, the kids were all outside, when high in the sky a flickering light made us want to hide! A UFO was landing by the soccer field! Everyone was hiding. Kindergartners squealed! A spaceman climbed down a ladder below and we were all surprised, because he looked kind oscary and he looked kind of mean, but he acted kind of shy! He said his ship broke down as he was passing by. Now he's stuck a billion miles from his home in the sky. His name was Zigby Bilardo the Alien. I wish I could go to to places he's been.
So we opened our doors, we welcomed him in. We showed him 'round our school. And even though he looked kinda wierd, that alien was cool! He came to all our classes, he played in the band. When the teacher asked a question, he even raised his hand! His name was Zigby Bilardo the Alien. I wish I could go to to places he's been.
Well, night after night he would work on his ship so it could fly like before. But when the school day began he was always there, so he could learn some more. He stayed until his ship got fixed again. When he was ready to go, we said good-bye to a friend. His ship made a sound. It started to rise up into the sky, while us kids all stood in a circle around. We cheered and waved good-bye. He must have learned what the teachers taught, 'cause up in the sky he wrote, "thanks a lot!" Good-bye to Zigby Bilardo the Alien. I wish I could go to to places he's been. He's our friend. Zigby Bilardo the Alien is our friend.
